Cattle ranching for beef and leather is not only cruel, it's one of the leading causes of deforestation in the world. Not to mention, animal leather is often coated in synthetics to achieve certain colours or textures. On the other hand, most vegan leather is simply pleather, aka petroleum, aka plastic, which is terrible for the environment and low quality. Every Lost Woods bag is made by hand at a small, female-run workshop near Porto, in Portugal. We produce in small batches to avoid overproduction.
